Performing Kiatsu® for Migraine
Treatment for Migraines
Migraine is a serious neurovascular condition that creates recurring debilitating headaches, nausea, and vomiting. Alternative therapies are currently being explored for treatment of migraines, as they have fewer side-effects and may be used along with medications.
In the course of the 24 years of classes in the Personal Kiatsu School, several students with severe migraines (attacks 20–30 days a month) have reportedly achieved marked reductions in their frequency of migraine headaches, down to 1–2 per month.
This research study is intended as a pilot study, with the overall goal of determining if a condensed version of Kiatsu and the integrated relaxation components (deep breathing meditation, postural correction, and movement training) as described above will benefit migraine sufferers.
