Teri, Migraine Sufferer
I’ve had migraines all my life and had to resort to expensive meds to treat them, then spend the day in a dark room. When I began to study Kiatsu, learned to press myself, and was pressed by others, I found my migraines could often be stopped, or the duration of them reduced by having a Kiatsu student or instructor press me.

Kiatsu® Reduced Barb’s Migraines
I have suffered from migraine headaches for more than 50 years. In an effort to reduce the number of headaches, I joined the Oregon Ki Society where I’ve been training Ki Development and Kiatsu. Practicing unification of mind and body has allowed me to learn to release tension and calm my mind. Happily, I can say that the frequency of my headaches has reduced from 10-12 a month to 3 or 4 when I travel, and 1-2 when I don’t. I want to thank my instructors and my training partners for helping me dramatically improve the quality of my life.

Training and Kiatsu® Helped Bill’s Migraines
I started suffering from debilitating migraine headaches as an adolescent. Though the frequency was less than once per month, the pain was completely overwhelming. Various medicines were offered, but there was the obvious concern for a young person taking painkillers, so basically I had to suffer these incidents as best possible.
Ki Development and Kiatsu training, begun at age 18, changed that. I learned to recognize signs and intervene with self-Kiatsu, reducing or eliminating the migraine. Meditation and relaxation methods made it possible for me to suffer far less right away. For decades now, my incidence of migraines is no more than 1 or 2 per year, with little or no pain.
